The second year anniversary of Esop Mkparawa Ibesikpo Asutan(EMIA)ended penultimate Friday with a charge on the body to keep the dreams and aspirations of the body alive for future generations.
Speaking at the event, the political leader of Uyo Federal Constituency and Ibesikpo Asutan,Prince Uwem Ita Etuk thanked the President of the body for springing an association of like minds who believe in building a synergy in line with governor Udom's industrialization agenda.
On the multi co-operative which the body also seeks to kickstart,the immediate past commissioner for Lands and Town Planning admonished the group to used it to better the lives of her members and not using it to spark crisis in the area.He on his part promised to key into their dreams with financial support.
Also speaking at the summit,the lawmaker representing Ibesikpo Asutan State Constituency, Rt.Hon.(Elder)Aniekan Uko who was also one of the special guest thanked Esop for remaining resolute to the visions and aspirations which it(the body) was founded and promised to on his part be of total support to the sociopolitical bloc whenever the need arises.
High point of the event was the official launching of Esop Mkparawa Ibesikpo Asutan multi purpose cooperative society where stakeholders were appointed as well as the wife of Ibesikpo Asutan lawmaker,Evangelist(Mrs.)Ememobong Aniekan Uko being made MATRON of the body.
Ememobong in her speech thanked Esop the recognition and show of love describing it as unprecedented and an honour that will go down their family lane.
The immediate past LEWA President used the opportunity to thank the women of Ibesikpo Asutan for supporting the government of he day with a promise that she will not relent in giving her best in support.
Mama Charge equally used the opportunity to present her financial price to the women team who won the soccer fiesta in the build up to the grand finale of the anniversary/summit.
Responding,the International President of the body Etubom David Jackson thanked Elder Uko and wife for their enormous support to the body which he said has has made them really distinguished and prayed God to keep and sustain the family for greater exploits.
While equally thanking the political leader of the area and others for their support,the astute leader promised his resolve and that of his member to keep the flame of Esop burning.
The occasion drew to a close with the official cutting of the Esop anniversary cake with was witnessed by Elder Aniekan Uko and wife Ememobong and other bigwigs present.
