The Sports Cheerleaders Development Initiative, the organization overseeing the management of Cheerleaders Nigeria, has donated half a million naira to the Akwa Ibom American Football team, to enable them travel to Lagos for a match against the Lagos State American Football team, Lagos Marines.
In an unprecedented move, the SCDI top management decided to support the Akwa Ibom American Football team as a moral support for the budding team, and as a Corporate Social Responsibility investment in the development of the Sport in the country.
Speaking to press men, Ms Clara Ojinnaka reassured on the goals of SCDI is committed to supporting the development of diverse sporting activities not only in Akwa Ibom, but also in the nation.
She called for more organisations to partner with the organisation for the achievement of such objectives.
