Akwa-Ibom State government has make good her promise to the warring communities of Anakpa and Nna-Enin all in Uruan LGA. By providing succour in the form of financial assistance to those who lost their properties during the course of conflict.
In his welcome address, the Transition Committee Chairman of Uruan LGA, Hon. Dr. Edwin Okon thank the Governor of Akwa-Ibom State His Excellency Deac. Udom Emmanuel who was ably represented by the Deputy Governor Mr. Moses Ekpo who also doubled as the Chairman Akwa-Ibom State Boundary Committee, advised the two communities and indeed the entire Uruan LGA to desist from actions capable of destroying lives and properties in their communities and promise additional palliative measures pending when National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) fulfill it earlier promise to the people during their on the spot assessment of the communities.
In attendance were the Secretary Transition Committee Uruan Hon. Joseph Obot, Supervisor for Education, Youth and Sports Hon. Etebong 'xplizit' Bassey, Supervisor for Special Duties Hon. Edikan Eduok, Supervisor for Political and Chieftaincy Affairs Hon. Edem Dominic, Supervisor for Agriculture Hon. Felix Etim, Supervisor for Women Affairs Hon. Glory Umoren, Supervisor for Health Hon. Peace Kokoette Enoh and the Permanent Secretary and Staff Deputy Governor office.
