GOV. EMMANUEL TASKS SECURITY AGENTS TO BE ALERT FOR CRIMINALS

Akwa Ibom State Governor Mr Udom Emmanuel says his administration is working assiduously to rid the state of criminal elements and checkmate heinous crimes to make the state a safe haven for the teeming investors to carry out their businesses.

Governor Emmanuel stated this at Reigners Bible Church International, Uyo Village Road, where he attended the church service.

He said : "security agencies are on alert to fish out criminals were ever they are. People should volunteer information to the Police for prompt action" and commended security agencies for the low crime situation in the state.

The Governor called on the church to continually pray for peace and stability in the state asserting that those in positions of Authority oftern fall prey to sentiments propelled by people around them but intercession by the faithful oftern guide them to take right decisions.

Mr Emmanuel spoke of the day's sermon "Dry bones shall rise again" as very apt saying it demonstrates God's ability to reverse hopelessness in man.

He explained that if God could restore the dry bones in the Bible, the economic recession experienced in the country would give way to abundance and called on leaders to uphold justice and evolve appropriate economic measures to reverse the situation.

He expressed appreciation to the General Overseer of the Church for spear heading evangelism and interceed in the redemption of the state from satanic bondage and directed the Managing Director of Hensek Integrated Services, a construction firm to commence landscaping work in the church promises and donated an eighteen seater Bus to the Church Choir.

The Guest Minister Apostle Prince Ohene Asare, from Ghana, assured that God will restore the the lost glory of Nigeria as a great nation and that Akwa Ibom State will emerge an economic hub in Africa.

The General Overseer of the Church Reverend Akan Weeks who preached on the theme "Dry Bones Shall Rise Again" culled his sermon from the Book of Ezekiel chapter 37 verse 1 to 10, said that dry bones represent adverse situations and the vision reflect what Isrealites passed through even as children of God.

Reverend Akan Weeks cited David as a man who sought God's empowerment and direction in all his undertakings to achieve success stressing that leaders who align themselves with divine guidance are bound to succeed.

The Speaker of the State House of Assembly,Rt. Hon Onofiok Luke, former Governor of Adamawa Mr Boni Haruna, Secretary to the State Government, Sir Etekamba Umoren, Permanent Secretaries and members of the dissolved State Executive Council including Engr. Etido Inyang, Prince Enobong Uwah, Dr Iniobong Essien and Dr Godwin Ntukude attended the Church service.
