The forth-coming Udom/Moses Under-20 Victory Football Tournament has continued to receive a boost as the Transition Committee Chairman for Abak, Dr. Emmanuel Udosen has donated a giant trophy to the organizers.
Speaking while receiving the organizers in his office at Abak, Dr. Udosen described the forth-coming football tournament as a well thought initiative that will help engage the youths positively and also discover hidden talents abound in the state.
Dr, Udosen who is the Akwa Ibom Sports Chairman of the Year 2015, commended the organizers, the Youth Sports Federation of Nigeria (YSFON) for its untiring effort at PROMOTING grassroot sports development in the country. He called on the organizers to concentrate on discovering hidden talents that are abound in the state.
Earlier, the Tournament Coordinator, Mr. Isonguyo Iniodu had informed the Transition Committee Chairman that the tournament will kick-off on Saturday, 27 August, 2016 at the Church of Jesus Christ Comprehensive Secondary School, Atai Otoro in Abak local government area and solicited his support to enable them organize a successful tournament.
Mr. Iniodu who is also the Secretary Youth Sports Federation of Nigeria (YSFON) Akwa Ibom State Chapter thanked Dr. Udosen for donating the trophy, describing him a sports-loving chairman who wants to see his people excel in the field of sports.
He called on others to emulate the Transition Committee Chairman by supporting the forth-coming tournament.
Also speaking, the National President, Abak 5-In-One Consolidated Movement, Prince Kokoette Ekpo said the reason why his organization decided to partner YSFON to organize the tournament is to mobilize support for Mr. Udom Emmanuel’s administration beyond 2019.
