In Nsit Ibom Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State, the struggle for women emancipation is bearing fruit as Princess Goodness James Okon aspires to lead the council as Executive Chairman.
She believes that His Excellency, Governor Udom Emmanuel's 5-point Agenda should be internalized at the grassroots for meaningful development to be achieved.
Her agenda for Nsit Ibom LGA include, Youth development, Gender Empowerment, Human Capital Development, Effect Healthcare Delivery, Recognition and Respect for Elders, Educational Development, Agricultural Development, Political Inclusion, Rural Development and Natural Resources Exploration.
Explaining, Agricultural Development, the Chairmanship aspirant believes that 'a farm settlement scheme where the optimum population or youth would be empowered to engage in fishery, poultry, crop production and other viable produce, would enrich the youth, while growing the GDP of the state.
