I want to start this piece by first emphasizing on the issue of zoning in Ika LGA. Zoning in Ika is not negotiable. Zoning is sacrosant and a natural logic, it is only an impatient dog that cannot wait for its bone, so i want to use this medium to enjoin our brothers from ITO to wait for their turn while support Atai Odoro to produce a chairman that will bring transformation to Ika LGA.. Right from the time of recorded political history from, zoning has been the guarding spirit and the unseen hand navigating the peace currently enjoyed in the political terrain of Ika LGA. Do you know what led to the crisis once or twice experienced in our dear Local Government Area? (Story for another day).
Zoning arrangement in Ika LGA has always been and is strictly on Clan basis. The Local Government Area known as Ika is made up of 3 clans, namely ACHAN, ITO AND ODORO. The main essense of this write up is to explain to the good people of ODORO and Ika that the clan Odoro is one. The concept of Odoro 1 and Odoro 2 exist only on the mind of those who do not wish the good people of Odoro Clan well. This is so because the concept is not only divisive but satanatic, unpatrotic to the Odoro course, satanic and demonic. So at this point, those that are insisting that its the turn of Odoro 2 to produce the next chairman of Ika Local Government Area are the real enemy of odoro clan because what only exist is ATAI ODORO and it is they that should produce the next Local Government Chairman and not Odoro 1 or 2. Odoro Clan should not allow any politician TO USE HIS 2019 HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVE AMBITION TO DIVIDE the good people of Odoro Clan.
Those that supports the Odoro 2 course are argueing that it was Odoro 1 that produced the chairman in 1999 and now its their turn but i also want them to know that the Late Chief Udoutun was from ITOM 3 while he was a chairman and Obong Emem Ekperikpe Ekpo was from Ito 3 too but was choosen to serve as the Chairman in 2003. So their accusation and claim are baseless and totally uncalled for.
We have 10 villages that makes up the Odoro clan, there are 8 in Odoro 1 and 2 in Odoro 2. Under Odoro 1 we have the following villages....
1. Nto Usoh (this is the headquarters of Odoro 1 but are yet to produce a Chairman).
2. Ikot Onono
3. Nto Urua
4. Nto Akpan Etim
5. Nto Ukpong Ntia
6. Nto Mbadium
7. Odoro Ikot Inyang
8. Nto Ekot
Under Odoro 2, we have...
1. Ikot Essien
2. Ikot Uko
How can only two villages produce a chairman, is it not better they come under the umbrella of ATAI ODORO instead of trying to put division among their brothers?
It should be noted at this point that the remaining four villages that are often claimed as being part of Odoro 2 actually belongs to ITO CLAN and they include...
1. Ikot Edim
2. Nto Etukudo
3. Ikot Abia Adok
4. Imaman
After saying the above, i want to expose a political game plan to my Odoro brothers and sister who are myopic or refusing to see and understand things the way it will be if we do not unite. Its very simple, WHEN THE CHIPS ARE DOWN, THE FOUR VILLAGES CLAIMED BY ODORO 2 AS BEING PART OF THEM WILL TURN THEIR BACK AT A POINT TO SUPPORT A CANDIDATE FROM ITO BEING THAT ITO IS THEIR ORIGINAL ORIGIN AND NOT THE CLAIM RELATIONSHIP ODORO 2 ARE BANKING ON.
The people of Odoro 1 and 2 should murder their selfish interest and support the ATAI ODORO course as we can achieve nothing without UNITY. Anybody from the ATAI ODORO clan is very free to contest as its the person constitutional right to do so and because the party's zoning formular favours the ATAI ODORO clan.
Conclusively, the ATAI Odoro people must speak with one voice and silence those elements who are out to betray the ATAI ODORO course and to also be very careful of those politicians from Odoro who are just fronting for fellow politicians from the other clan who wants to feed on our disunity. I call on the good people of Atai Odoro to rise and fight for what is rightly theirs.
