Atuekong Paul Bassey |Onna:- The good people of Oniong West in Onna Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State on Saturday, 26 April 2016, turned out enmasse to seek divine invention and direction towards the leadership aspiration of their indigenes in the forth coming Local Government polls.
Delivering the sermon, Rev. Obot Ekanem, who preached on the topic 'Arise for thy Light is come', urged the people to remain steadfast and hold on to God just as in the days of Nehemiah, who gathered the Children of Israel to pray for divine invention against their enemies.
Highlight of the occasion was the introduction of two indigenes of Oniong West aspiring for the Chairmanship position.
Speaking to News men shortly after the prayer summit, one of the Aspirants, Engr. Mrs. Ekaette Inyang said it was very pertinent to seek the face of God especially in times of economic challenges facing our country and also for Oniong West to produce the next elected Executive Chairman after 23 years of patiently waiting.
