Stakeholders of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in Ikono LGA have thanked Governor Udom Emmanuel for awarding contract for the construction of Mbiafun Nkwongo - Nung Ukim Road in Ikono LGA.
In a Communiqué issued at the end of its General Meeting on Monday 6th April, 2016, the PDP stakeholders Forum and the entire PDP family in Ikono rose in support of the present administration led by Deacon Udom Emmanuel for its inclusive leadership and pragmatic approach to the industrialization of the state.
The Communiqué signed by 31 PDP stakeholders including Chief (Hon) Okon Akpanusong, Hon. Edet E. Umotong and Elder Nana A. Asuan also states that Ikono will stand firm in support of PDP State Chairman, Obong Paul Ekpo, passing a vote of confidence on him, also declaring their support for re-election bid as PDP boss.
"The Forum also observed with keen interest, the quality of the Akwa Ibom State PDP Chairman, Obong Paul Ekpo which had resulted in the party recording tremendous successes in all the elections held in the state.
"The Forum went further to warn those myopic, selfish and paid petition writers in Ikono, whose stock in trade is to cast aspersions and mudslinging on the personality of this great achiever - Obong Paul Ekpo to desist from acting the script of their masters as nobody is capable of overwriting the hand of God", the Communiqué reads.
While passing a vote of confidence on Senate Minority Leader, Godswill Akpabio and House of Representatives member representing Ikono/Ini Federal Constituency, Hon (Deacon) Iboro Ekanem for effective representation in the National Assembly, the stakeholders also reiterated their unalloyed support to the political leader of Ikono, Obong Emmanuel Ukpong-Udo for his philanthropic dispositions and his political will to emancipate the entire Ikono from political slavery.
The PDP stakeholders observed the peaceful and effective leadership of Transition Committee Chairman of Ikono LGA, Hon Asuquo Nana Udo, pledging their unalloyed support to his administration and all-round supports in his future ambition.
