GOV EMMANUEL TO ADDRESS FOUR RALLIES AHEAD OF ASSEMBLY RERUN




Ahead of the March 12 House of Assembly rerun, the Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Mr Udom Emmanuel, is set to address four powerful rallies in the four State constituencies where the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) is poised to conduct elections.

In a release signed by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Political and Legislative Affairs, Rt Hon Anietie Etuk, Mr Emmanuel, will lead the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) family to Oron, for a massive rally in support of the PDP candidate for Oron /Udung Uko State constituency, Hon Bassey Effiong on Monday, 7th March, 2016, at the Oron township stadium by 10am. 

The Governor and the party faithful will move same day to the Ibesikpo Asutan Local Government secretariat for another commanding rally in support of the candidacy of the former speaker of the State House of Assembly, Rt Hon (Elder) Aniekan Uko by 2pm. 

According to the release, the campaign train will hit Obot Akara/ Ikot Ekpene State Constituency on Wednesday, March 9, for the rally in support of Hon (Prince) Idongesit Ntekpere, at the Obot Akara Council secretariat by 10am. The last stop will be the Etinan local government Secretariat by 2 pm where the party and the people will express its full support for the candidacy of Hon (Barr) Aniefiok Dennis Akpan. 

Meanwhile, the Special Adviser has invited the leadership of the party in the state,  political office holders, the political class, elder statesmen, the organized labour, captains of industries, women and youth groups and indeed, the entire good people of Akwa Ibom, to be a part of the two day programme. 

Similarly, the Rt Hon Anietie Etuk, also advised the good people of the State to ensure that only credible, trustworthy and competent candidates are voted into the House Of Assembly.
