It certainly is a great day for Mr Victor Abasi-Eyo, a native of Mbo LGA in Akwa Ibom State, as he has been rewarded with a new car by the Akwa Ibom State Commissioner for Local Government & Chieftaincy Affairs Rt Hon. Victor Antai.
The Commissioner has been consistent in doling out car gifts to supporters who have patiently stuck with him through challenging political seasons, the most beneficiaries being from Oro nation.
For Mr Abasi-Eyo, a PDP leader in UDA Ward 1 of Mbo LGA, the gesture marks a life changing moment for him. He sees Hon Antai as "...generous, very loving, one of the best political leaders ever in Oro nation".
This time, it was Mr Abasi-Eyo's turn to benefit.
He seized the moment also to charge younger people to cultivate the virtue of patience, to stay dedicated to the PDP, and to keep supporting the administration of Governor Udom Emmanuel, whom, he believes, is the most suitable person to lead Akwa Ibom into long anticipated era of industrialization.
