A Media Aide to the Akwa Ibom state governor, Mr. Uwemedimoh Umanah has described the Supreme Court's validation of the election of Governor Udom Emmanuel as a clear triumph of light over darkness.
In a chat with newsmen in Abak yesterday, the governor's aide said that, "Governor Udom Emmanuel was sent to us by God, who knew that a time like this would come. Don't forget that Joseph had to be sold out by his brothers for the purpose of the famine which later took over the land of Canaan..in the same vein, Governor Emmanuel had to pass through the legal rebranding, in order to acquire the spiritual and physical legitimacy, backing and above all strength, to pilot the affairs of Akwa Ibom, in this challenging times...", Mr Umanah added.
He reiterated that Governor Emmanuel would roundly defeat the APC gubernatorial flag bearer anytime any day, and wishes Umana waits patiently till 2019 to test the popularity he anticipated in the case of a re-run in the state.
The Governor's aide said he would have gone on exile if Umana Okon Umana was by any means imposed on the state. He explained that he would have done so because, "Akwa Ibom would have been sold to the devil, and I would have just left the state for four solid years so that I won't witness he balkanization of the state and the enthronement of an evil altar in the state".
Mr. Umanah who was playing host to some youths of the area in the spirit of the Valentine celebration, recalled an article he had written in the past during a build up to the PDP Governorship primary election, where he listed reasons why the defeated APC governorship candidate cannot be Akwa Ibom Governor.
Uwemedimo who until his new office was the publisher of City watch Newspaper, likened what has befallen Umana Umana to the story of Ichabod in the bible. He alluded that God had since rejected an Umnana's governorship ambition.
Uwem expressed sadness at the level of satanic propaganda peddled in the state by APC sponsored newspapers, and enjoined Akwa ibom people to ignore their antics, by giving their unalloyed support, loyalty and solidarity to the Governor, whose stewardship would make the state a thousand times better than he met it in May 29,2015!
