According to the statement, the Deputy Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Mr. Moses Ekpo will give a keynote address while other speakers include the Akwa Ibom State Commissioner for Information, Mr. Aniekan Umanah, his Cross River State Counterpart, Barr. (Mrs.) Rosemary Archibong and the Chairman of Nigeria Union of Journalists, Akwa Ibom State Council, Elder Patrick Albert.
The Speaker of Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly, Barr. Onofiok Luke is also invited as Guest of Honour along with the Chairman of Christian Association of Nigeria, Archbishop Cletus Bassey, Apostle Aniekan Udoiyak, Pastor (Dr.) Gabriel Thomas and Apostle Ime George as officiating ministers.
The event is billed for 11:00 and will feature Akwa Ibom top Comedian, Sir James as well as music performance. Speaking with newsmen in Uyo, the Akwa Ibom State Capital, the Editor-in-Chief of Daily Detail, Ndanti Ekuh thanked God for the numerous achievements and progress recorded by the paper so far, hinting that shortly after the commissioning, the paper will extend its coverage to Abuja and Rivers State having already covered Akwa Ibom, Cross River State and Lagos.
While inviting journalists and the general public to witness the commissioning, Ekuh also prayed God for successful hosting of the event.
