A reminisce and special spotlight on two eventful weddings on our branded stable – WORK STATION.
The emergence of Aniekan Umanah Honourbale Commissioner for Information and Communication, Akwa Ibom State in the political calculation of the state is absolutely very phenomenal. This Abak-born Communication Strategist, political tactician and community leader has proven his substance that his coming into the administrative and political landscape of Akwa Ibom was and is indeed a decision rightly made and a credible choice. He has sailed above board and distinguished himself as a good and substantial manager of information.
In the history of information management and dissemination in the state, Aniekan Umanah has displayed his professional prowess in designing a multi-media strategic development support project to promote and project the achievements and highlight the challenges of the government of Governor Udom Emmanuel whilst demystifying all the false information , smear campaign, blackmail, character assassination, gleefully circulated by the propaganda machinery of the aggrieved and defeated opposition party [APC] in the state. Honourable Commissioner, hold on to your candid belief and hard work. No amount of preconceived media attacks and cheap sponsored blackmail on your person by agents of darkness will veer you off the coast.
The Ministry of Information and Communication, Akwa Ibom State under the close and watchful eyes of this information maestro and communication expert has grown rapidly and productive over the years. Aniekan Umana has enhanced and encouraged the promotion and propagation of information to sustain and stabilize the government and strengthen the structure of Governor Udom’s administration. From his era as Commissioner of Information and Strategy during Senator Godswill Akpabio’s administration [between 2007 and 2015], he demonstrated a greater capacity and depth in handling the task and affairs of his ministry second to none. That same energy and passion to drive home his potentials endeared him to Governor Udom Emmanuel to further render his services in advancing the information machinery of state towards amplifying the lofty projects, policies, strides and achievements of government like never before.
All these are compliments and values of this gentleman of repute which we cannot exhaust in this piece. Let’s get back to the issue at hand for now. Two of the commissioner’s boys are making the news this moment and currently trending across board. A roll call of the boys who walked down the aisle back then under the canopy of this enviable and most sort after information guru at available recall includes Essien Ndueso (then his Special Assistant on media and currently Personal Assistant to Governor Udom on media), Anietie Grayscale James, Ekerette John Umanah, Akpan Ekanem, Emmanuel Etim and others too numerous to recount for now. Let’s unveil the brand new entry, the latest into the nuptial wing and circle of the workstation crew; the duo of Samuel Ayara and Abasiama Urua.
They both broke the hurdles, barriers and code of living single and bachelorhood under the watchful eyes and participation of their boss recently. In both ceremonies, Samuel Ayara, on Friday 12th February 2016 at Ekpri Nsukara in Uyo performed his traditional rites alongside his jewel of inestimable value, Ekaette. And on Sunday, February 14th, 2016, on a Valentine ’s Day, walked down the aisle, at Mount Zion Light House Full Gospel Church in Abak LGA. It was an epoch-making outing and a ceremony well attended by the crème d la crème of our clime. Ayara had it all in both ceremonies.
Enter Abasiama Urua, the new kid also on the block; quiet, unassuming and competent in his assigned tasks. His traditional rites took place on Thursday 18th February 2016 at Ndot Abak. Abaz’s white wedding cropped up on Saturday, 20th February 2016 at the Presbyterian church four towns parish, Abak road federal housing estate. A striking significance for both stems on the localization of the two colleagues and friends in the choice of their brides. Ayara is from Abak; Abasiama is married to an Abak lad. Ayara’s wife is from Oro nation, but has stronger tap roots in Uyo senatorial district where Abasiama hails from as a consolidated Uruan son.
The most vibrant colour in addition to what they both had as specifics was the presence of the Honourable Commissioner in all of their events. It was instructively significant and an indication that someone sure has your utmost interest at heart. As we proceed and progress in governance, a lot of the boys are still on the waiting list. And with the encouragement, positive advice and substantial contribution to success, others will buckle up to join and continue to tap on the blessings and benefits of metamorphosing from boys to men. As encomiums continue to pour on the man of the moment – Aniekan Umanah, the workstation reaches out to the boys still in the hood to rise to their faith of greatness. Solomon Eyo et al are you there?
