WATER SUPPLY- As everybody knows Water is very essential for life, Quality water supply can significantly improve the quality of Life and stop the bacterial infections and diseases transmitted through water in our rural communities. Most people who are interested in health pay attention to the quality of food that goes into their body, how many are concerned about the quality of water they drink? Our bodies are 70% water. Meaning good quality water is atleast twice important as food in helping our bodies. I'll ensure that good water is in supply as this is a notable challenge in Ibiono Ibom.
QUALITY HEALTH CARE FOR CHILDREN, PREGNANT WOMEN AND AGED ONES- This is a very challenging issue in our communities leading to death of children and pregnant women. Quality health care has a wide variety of meanings. To some people, sitting in the waiting room a short time to see a Dr is 'quality' health care. To others being treated politely by the Doctor's staff means 'quality ' health care. And there are those who define 'quality' health care by how much time the Doctor devotes in examining them.
While these are important, Clinical quality health care is even more important. I.e the outcome after the patients have received the recommended care. And all the aforementioned will be made possible in my tenure in office.
WEALTH CREATION AND EMPLOYMENT- If I'm elected Chairman, I've envisioned a change to our community's debilitating dependence on crude oil to earn revenue. I have pledged to provide wealth creation in various ways and reduce unemployment massively to the lowest of single digits such that no one is left behind. By wealth creation,it's by virtue of it's reliance on revenue on non-renewal oil,through diversified production especially in the agricultural sector. This also will provide massive employment opportunities to our teaming youths.
A community where entrepreneurship thrives, enterprise flourishes and the government gets out of the way so they can create value, build the economy and aggressively expands wealth. By this, crime rate will be eradicated as everyone will get busy for means of livelihood.
ROAD NETWORKS- The poor road networks in our community is an inefficient means of mass transit of people and goods. Good road networks reduces accidents, the distance between people, markets,services and knowledge. Or simply getting people connected is a great part of what economic growth is all about. Although virtual connectivity has become increasingly important today with the emergence of new communication avenues,a good and reliable transport network remains vital. There is a very strong positive correlation between a community's economic development and the quality of its road network. There is significant need on the effort to improve the roads situation for easy mobility. This is my planned necessity for our people.
QUALITATIVE AND FUNCTIONAL EDUCATION, SKILLS ACQUISITION AND TRAINING - Education is a key factor to a better Society. It lays the path for a better quality of Life. As a community we realise the importance of basic and qualitative education for all children regardless of their background and other factors by providing the basic School amenities and qualified teachers.
By virtue of the free and compulsory Education in Akwa Ibom state, a strategic international educational standard development plan will ensure excellence in both the tutoring, reform and learning of skills in Arts, Science, social science and technology by students through massive injection into the educational sector into students who will be seen as the future innovators and industrialist. By Putting up Capacity building programmes, trainings and skills acquisition for the masses to make sure that No one is left out.
I have faith that 2016 will write a new story. It will regain all its lost glory in our community. Together we will build a community that is secure, prosperous and gives everybody a fair chance that no one is left out and we will all be proud of so help me God.
