The final of Enwang Unity Cup football match sponsored by the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Mr Victor Antai was today rounded off.
The football tournament which was to develop young talents among the youth of Enwang was highly competitive. According to the Chairman Local Organising Committee, LOC, Mr Clement Abia, 10 teams registered for the tournament. Eyoefai FC Club defeated Uba FC 1-0 to clinch the trophy as the winner while Uba FC became 1st runner-up. Ubotuong FC emerged third position after defeating Ekiebong through penalty shoot out following A 3-3 draw.
Dignitaries at the grand finale included, Mr Victor Antai, Hon. Samuel Ufuo, Mr. Eteyen Imisim Hon. Asuquo Eyo, Hon. Mfon Bassey, Obonganwan Sarah O. B. Etim, Mr. Oscar Akiniyi, Dr. Nsikan Edet Bassey, Hon. Duncan Uweh and many others.
Announcing the cash award, Mr Victor Antai who also described himself as ATM Commissioner presented 500,000.00 to first position, second position 300,000.00, third position 200,000.00. Other participating teams went home with 100,000.00 consolation prize each. The officiating refree was Mike Uyeh.
