The Works Commissioner who conveyed the concern of Governor Udom Emmanuel to the residents of Abak in general and Midim village in particular, expressed worry that, the extent of damage is an existential threat to the inhabitants of the area and their property.
He blamed the collapse on poor drainage system, harping that, this is reason Governor Udom Emmanuel has directed that no road constructed under his watch will be done without requisite drainage to receive water and the proper channeling to an outfall which will pose no danger to the community or damage to the road.
